Atlanta, GA
I had to go to Atlanta for work for a week, but there was still some fun to be had.

All the "normal" hotels near our office there were booked, so I Googled and found a hotel right accross the street that looked nice and was open...why didn't anyone recommend this one? Well, maybe because there is a window from the shower to the bed.

Or maybe because there is grass growing in the hallway.

Or maybe because there are beds on the roof.

Either way, it was an awesome hotel for the government rate, and if the "boutique" theme doesn't bother you, you get a nice aeron chair, comfy bed and flat screen TV right in the heart of downtown.

One night we went to Underground Atlanta, which my dad tells me in the 70s was filled with Hippie stores, and on my last visit, it seemed like a nice downtown mall like Harborplace. Now it's just straight up ghetto. Everything closes at 7pm, and there are dollar stores and sports stores and stores that sell chains instead of regular shops.

There were lots of great sporting events (Super Bowl, UMD v virginia, Duke v UNC, US vs Mexico soccer) the week I was down there, so we setup shop every night at Jocks and Jills.

It was in the CNN Center, where CNN stuff is filmed. CNN Center is like basically a food court in a hotel.

Here is a view of Centennial park from our 32nd floor office.
