Day 10 - Porto
The next day we arrived in the other major city of Portgual, Porto.

Not affected by the 1755 earthquake, the city feels much older.

So I had heard it occassionally called Oporto, and thought this was maybe the way the Portugese called it (even the airport code is OPO), but it turns out the Portugese call it Porto, and it was everyone else who heard it wrong (O is the word for "the").

The had lots of pretty old high rises, and this was a very steep city walking wise.

We took a tour of the old Portugese stock market, which was cool but didn't allow pictures, so here's some filler of me in that general area.

We then grabbed lunch at a delicious restaurant on the water.

And then walked along the river a little.

This pretty bridge is the center of Porto (well not really since the other side of the river isn't Porto).

Random water scene.

The traditional boats that brought Port from where it was grown up river to the Port caves in Porto.
