Day 4 - Evora

On the fourth day, we came to something I was looking forward to, driving into the countryside!

Portuguese roads are pretty nice, and we bought a GPS to lead us in case we couldn't figure out the signs.

Almost as soon as we left Lisbon, we had to cross the Vasco De Gama (who else?) bridge. This is the longest bridge in Europe at around 10 miles.

Our GPS then took us through the countryside and into the little medieval streets of Evora.

Evora had a really cool little plaza area, anchored by the church of Sao Antonio.

I got a delicious pork dish that came on this fancy plate.

The streets were probably designed for horses.

And I ended up driving down this little alley after winding up on a pedestrian only area....mirrors in!

This was our sweet ride, a Hyundai Getz.

There are a billion churches in Portugal, and everytime you look for sites there are like 20 churches. But we decided to go inside this assymetrical church since it was by where we parked.
