Day 7 - Sagres

In the morning we walked around Taviera more and saw this church with a cool clock.

We then went to camera obscura which may have been Kelly's favorite part of the trip, it's basically like a 360 degree camera of the city pointed down on a dish. My favorite part of the girl giving us the tour pretending it was magic or doing cheesy optical tricks.

Then we drove across the very most southern part of Portugal on the Atlantic Ocean, Sagres.

We had a nice balcony in our Pousada room.

We then walked to the Fortaleza, which was a giant fort on that southern tip of Portugal.

As usual, historic sites have no rules, so not only did I climb the stairs to these bells, I rang them too!

The fort is actually a small part of what we did, behind the fort there is this sheer cliff to the Atlantic Ocean and you can walk along it (for evidently 4 miles)

As usual, no safety bars or anything, just a sheer drop to your death.

A lighthouse we didn't go to see.

The cliffs we were looking over.
