Day 16

Depart: Palm Springs, CA, 7:45 am, Sunny, 52 degrees

Today we left Palm Springs, and took our only pictures of the day. The pictures were of the hundreds and hundreds of wind power farms they have at the north end of Palm Springs. These pictures don't do justice to just how many of these things there are.

They only put these in the windest areas of the country, so you can imagine how windy it gets in this valley. Supposedly winds can be strong enough to blow people over.

We actually did alot today. We went to Disneyland! But we didn't want to be burdened with our camera, plus everyone knows what Disneyland looks like.

When we hit the Los Angeles area it looked like it was going to rain. It rained the last time we were in the area, but supposedly it almost never rains there, so maybe we are just bad luck. It never ended up actually raining, so maybe the smog was just really thick or something.

Disneyland was alot of fun, there were no lines for anything. It was scary seeing all the empty turnstiles that could have been filled with people. 3 major rides were closed: Splash Mountain, The Haunted Mansion, and the Matterhorn, so we felt somewhat ripped off. Thats it for today, we promise more pictures tommorow!

Arrive: Anaheim, CA, 9:30 am, Hazy, 62 degrees.
