Perth
It was really like being in the outback.
But eventually I emerged and saw civilization again.
The next day I went to the beach, and saw the Indian Ocean. It was somewhat crowded at this point.
So I walked a little further down where it was less busy.
There was some beach art thing going on, so you had weird stuff like this.
And then the beach was almost empty, and this was only maybe a block from the busy area!
This art looked cool against the clear blue water.
Something they evidently only sell in Australia. Scotch premixed with soda...it was quite refreshing actually.
Perth had the nicest coffee shop chain I've been to, called "Dome". It felt like a high end diner and they had good desserts. I discovered my new favorite coffee in Australia, a "Long black", which is basically two shots of espresso and water. But I've tried ordering that in America and no one has came close.
By this picture, Kelly was there...we had dinner in a hippy part of town and watched Perth play in their basketball league championship game outside (they won).
