Barcelona, Spain

For example, the random cryptograms put around the doors.

Some of the prettiest stained glass I've seen.

Still very much under construction.

The Gaudi facade...it was Gaudy.

But also quite amazing.

Well, I've run out of stuff to say about this crazy church, so what better pictures to use to talk about Barcelona's nightlife.

First, if you want to eat dinner before 9pm you are crazy. In fact, it's just not possible. I wanted to eat at 8pm because I had an early flight, and I had to wait til 9pm so I could eat with the old people.

That means that you can still have a hard time getting a table at a restaurant at 11:30pm. Then at 12pm people seem to move to the bars, but thats only because the clubs don't open until 2am. Barcelona is most alive at night. It also continued to remind me of how seedy it is. People on every corner try to sell you individual beers. Hookers physically attack you. But I had the best Mojito I've ever had in my life. And when my night was over at 3:30am (when old people go to sleep), the subway and streets were still completely packed.

The next day I went to Parc Montjuic. I was between this and the Gaudi park, but decided to go with this one because it had a funicular.

It was a pretty park.

And was actually nice and relaxing from the buzzing, seedy Barcelona below.

Catalonia.

I'll probably back another trip back here when I do a tour of Spain at some point...
