There wasn't a paved road anywhere near Monteverde
We later went on the Zip Line Tour, which was awesome. They strap you in a bunch of gear and sent you batman style across various zip lines in the forest canopy. They advertise it as a way to see nature, but most nature runs away at the site of humans zipping along through the tree tops. We did see a family of Tapirs though.
We got stuck in town one night with a crazy fog. After we made it through the fog we saw a frog.
