Day 10 - Porto

The random unexplained city wall on the Porto side.

We then took a hike accross town to see the Port institute. We passed some tempting pastelarias...

We saw lots of odd sites on our way, such as these guys dressed up like girls, and random people in black capes and suits.

We then ended up in a public park, and got this cool picture of a peacock with Porto in the background.

And how often do you see a hen and rooster in a park?

We then arrived at the Port institute and had a tasting. Coming in, I didn't like Port, all the stuff I've ever had in America was sickenly sweet, but we had some delicious dry varieties here that made me have a new appreciation for port. (BTW we spent like 3 hours here with multiple rounds and it was only $14 euro).

On our way back we ended up seeing more and more groups of these kids in black capes, and finally hit a road block. They would be signing or shouting or wearing weird merit badges. Explanation tommorow.
